Ukraine for the nine months of the 2018-2019 marketing year (MY, July 2018 – June 2019) reduced the export of oilseeds by 12.8% compared to the same period last year, to 3.9 million tons.
This was reported by the press service of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. “Within the current marketing year, 3.9 million tons of oilseeds were exported, 4.4 million tons of oilseeds were exported during the same period of the last marketing year,” the report said.
The ministry also reminded that from the beginning of the 2018-2019 marketing year, 37 million tons of grain crops were exported, which is 16.7% higher than the same period last year. At the same time, wheat exports decreased by 7% and amounted to 13 million tons, and corn – increased by 66% – to 20 million tons. As reported by UNIAN, in 2018 Ukraine reduced the export of oilseeds by 7.5% to 4.8 million tons. According to the Ministry of Agrarian and Food Industry, in the 2017-2018 marketing year (July 2017 – June 2018), farmers have exported 39.9 million tons of grain. Export volumes of oilseeds in 2017-2018 MY increased by 52% compared with the previous MY – up to 3.5 million tons.
